It's amazing what you can find in the desert. 8 miles down a dusty bumpy road in the middle of the desert was an abandoned mine and a solar powered bar with a band!

We're visiting the area around southern California. Salton Sea is a very beautiful place with lots of waterfowl that like to winter hear.

It is very refreshing after leaving the desert and all the wind and rain we had there.
